Scientific Name: Yucca aloifolia
Family: Agavaceae
Common: Spanish bayonet

HABITAT

Native to US but has been introduced to Caribbean
Habitat: banks of brackish water
Range: Louisiana -> North Carolina

Saint Augustine Moat: used to be full of water, but undermined structure.  Was filled with this yucca.

Commercial – ornamental, removes liver flukes

Once they get tall enough they fall over and then it will propogate again from buds fern upright
